La Perla Tapatia Meat Market was highly recommended so I finally decided to check them out.
First and foremost, don't be fooled by the exterior or its location. However, once inside you'll be greeted with an inviting warm welcome and the smell of deliciousness. It's a combination of a mini grocery store, meat market, taco stand and a bakery.
I ordered fish, chicken and carne asada tacos. Everything is so authentic, fresh and made-to-order. The tortilla chips are perfectly paired with fresh salsa. If you're up for the challenge, try the "Meet Your Maker" hot sauce - I tried a "toothpick" serving and it was HOT!! The carnitas were perfectly cooked and the rice and beans were delicious! Everything at La Perla's exceeded my expectations.
When I thought I already had a great experience, Miguel (the owner) recommended that I try the concha (traditional Mexican baked good). The Nutella filled concha will blow your mind!! You'll definitely want to save some room for their conchas.
If you're ever in the South Bay, I highly suggest swinging by La Perla's if you're craving authentic Mexican food. You won't regret it!
A big thank you to Miguel and his amazing team for a memorable and delicious Mexican food experience. Kenny and I can't wait to go back again. -

So a friend recommended this place, from outside you would not believe this is a great place to eat
But was i wrong, inside they have about 5 tables. Service is outstanding & food was delicious
My husband had goat birria and I had green chilaquiles
Everything was very tasty and will definitely come back -

I came here after seeing Brian Ortega's instagram and promoting all there delicious food, however I was a bit disappointed. As you walk into the place, it's literally a market with groceries and off to the right hand side, you can order food and there's some tables in the middle of the market. I walked right up to the counter and ordered the Carne Asada burrito with everything on it. The burrito was good but not over the top so I added some of the salsa that they gave me to it which brought out the flavor a tad bit more. Once we were done eating, I decided to get me some Mexican bread which that literally was the highlight of my day. The bread is moist and had nutella inside the bread that made it so much better and crave able. I will definitely come back and try it again, maybe get a salad or some fajitas next time with a nutella filled bread for dessert.

This establishment easily one of my favorite places to satisfy my cravings for Mexican Food.
Nothing like chowing down on their freshly made piping hot carnitas!
From tacos, to burritos, to platters, to desserts (conchas and cookies), to drinks and snacks... this place has IT ALL & it all tastes fantastic!
The owner and workers are always friendly & walk around to make sure customers are doing good.
Food comes out promptly and hot as orders are made fresh.
Not only can you eat here, you can shop for veggies, fresh meat, drinks, salsas, tortillas, chips, cheese, ect.
It's cute that it's a market + restaurant all in one.
This past week, I was fortunate to get to try their new item, a STUFFED ROSCA DE REYES!
By stuffed, I meant that they were filled with
CARMEL, NUTELLA, COCONUT, GUAVA, PINEAPPLE, VANILLA, CREAM CHEESE.
Each section had a different flavor of filling & they were ALL delicious!
The bread was sooo fresh & soft, I couldn't stop munching on it! My family loved it.
As for parking: they have their own lot so it's def easy to find parking.
The place is kept clean & I like the whole mexican themed tables and decors.
This restaurant is sorta far from me, but when I know I am going to be in the area, it's always a treat to swing by.
I strongly suggest their FISH TACOS ($1.25 Wednesdays)
On Tuesdays they have a TACO TUESDAY .99 cent special.
